Humans are bombarded with questions that seem to demand immediate answers, but some questions don’t respond to logical thinking, and some answers don’t sit congruently within. Mother Nature meets every question with a firm and instinctive reply, and time spent out of doors nurtures intuition over intellect within the individual. In the Buddhist tradition the path to understanding must pass through what is known as the Gateless Gate. A concept manifesting as a blocked entrance with no actual barrier besides what the mind has unknowingly constructed. Only after rational thought has been dismissed can the heart pass through the Gateless Gate.
